Anamarija Avbelj was crowned Miss Universe Slovenia 2008

Anamarija Avbelj was crowned Miss Universe Slovenia 2008, in Ljubljana, Last Saturday night (May 17, 2008). The beautiful blonde left behind other 31 candidates, including Vanesa Štefanovski (1st runner-up and Miss Photogenic) and Klara Kobe (2nd runner-up).

She is 20 years old and hails from the city of Likovica.

In 2007 Slovnia placed among Miss Universe's semi-finalists for the first time ever. Anamarija will try to keep the streak going.

The winner won a brand new car and will compete at Miss Universe 2008.

Miss Universe 2008, the 57th Miss Universe beauty pageant, will be held at the Diamond Bay Resort in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 14, 2008.
