Student crowned Miss World New Zealand 2008

Kahurangi Taylor, A student, was crowned the new Miss World 2008 in New Zealand at Theatre Center's Dorothy Winstone Auckland Girls' Grammar School in the city of Auckland last May 3.

There were 21 women finalists in this Beauty 2008.

The young Maori, aged 16 and 1.80m, will represent New Zealand at Miss World 2008.

Miss World 2008, the 58th Miss World beauty pageant, will be held on October 4, 2008, at the Ukraina National Palace in Kiev, Ukraine.

Congratulations to Kahurangi Taylor.

How on earth did this girl get first? It is beyond me.

Of course it could be a great big chunk of token racial favouritism... in New Zealand, nah of course not :P

We thought she was alright, definite top 5 until she came out in her formal gown. At that point we thought they had let one of the trannys in from K Rd.
