At the Citywest Hotel in Dublin, IRELAND, On June 9 - The first Miss Universe Ireland pageant held brought 27 women together to compete for the coveted title.
All the hopefuls sought the chance to represent Ireland at the Miss Universe competition, which is being held in Vietnam July 14.
The event was broadcast live on TV3 and hosted by Alan Hughes and Caprice. The show featured Rosanna Davison and Synan O'Mahony amongst its seven judges.
The Miss Universe Ireland crown went to 20-year-old Lynn Kelly (photo) from Dublin. Lynn is a patient coordinator and an accomplished Irish dancer.
First runner up was Tipperary born Lorraine Turner a stylist and part-time model with the Celia Holman-Lee Agency. Lorraine’s ambition is to have her own chain of boutiques.
The glamorous 26-year-old said she enjoys running and plans to run in the New York City marathon in November.
