You know, our galaxy is quite big. 100,00 light years across, to be more exact. Scientists think there may be intelligent life out there. Perhaps beautiful intelligent life. To give the title of Miss Galaxy to an earthling is the epitomy of hubris. How do we know our representative is better looking than, say, someone out in the Sagittarius arm?! NNo, I say, more reasonable it would be to call "Miss Galaxy" something like "Miss Solar System", wouldn't you agree? Because I doubt that any complex life exists between Mercury & the Oort belt (except for our own planet).
