Miss Universe 2009, the 58th Miss Universe beauty pageant, will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Dayana Mendoza, from Venezuela, winner of Miss Universe 2008, will crown her successor in the event.
Michelle McNaughton
AGE: 23 | HEIGHT: 5'7" | HOMETOWN: CALGARY, AB
Michelle was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She graduated with honours in High School and dove directly into University where she is majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology. While attending the University of Lethbridge, Michelle helped to start the first sorority on campus and is now one of the proud founders of Delta Eta Iota. Her goal is to write the DAT and eventually own and practice in her own dental office.
Being a personal trainer, swim instructor and lifeguard, Michelle loves working with children and strives to instil a healthy lifestyle at an early age and throughout life.
During the winter months Michelle can be found hanging out with her best girlfriends, volunteering at a local homeless shelter or improving her artistic skills. During the few summer months Michelle can most likely be found in the water, working on her slalom ski or on the golf course, merely developing her swing.
