Rachelle Comeau - Miss Universe Canada 2009 Contestant

The Final Show and Crowning on Saturday May 16th @ 7:30pm. Miss Universe Canada 2008, Samantha Tajik , will crown her successor at the end of beauty contest. The Beauty Queen Miss Universe Canada 2009 will represent her country in the Miss Universe competition pageant.

Miss Universe 2009, the 58th Miss Universe beauty pageant, will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Dayana Mendoza, from Venezuela, winner of Miss Universe 2008, will crown her successor in the event.

Rachelle Comeau

AGE: 20| HEIGHT: 5'8" | HOMETOWN: KITCHENER, ON

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Rachelle relocated to Kitchener, Ontario with her family at the age of seven. Her interests include reading, traveling, dancing, working out, and practicing yoga.

Rachelle adores traveling and learning about new people, places, and cultures. She also enjoys her alone time by captivating her creative skills; with a love for fashion, Rachelle enjoys designing and sewing her own creations. She believes the key to success is the ability to balance working independently and as part of a team. Rachelle also believes staying true to oneself and being fearless in sharing this with the world is the key to happiness, as her favourite poem reflects, “Sometimes taking the road less traveled by, makes all the difference.”

She is currently studying in her second year at Wilfrid Laurier University. With courses such as psychology and philosophy Rachelle is fascinated by the human condition. Her goal is to pursue a career in journalism. Rachelle is also interested in the art of acting as it allows her to creatively explore the experiences and emotions of different characters, embracing her passion of learning about people.
