2013 Miss Tennessee Latina Leyanet Gonzalez of Knoxville crowned her successor, Miss Ana Maria Castañeda of Nashville. Ana Maria will travel to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic later this year to compete for the Miss US Latina title. She also has the possibility of advancing to compete for the Miss Latin America of the World, beginning right after the US competition.
2014 Miss Teen Tennessee Latina Valeria Helena Garcia was crowned by former 2013 Miss Teen Tennessee Latina Daniela Martinez. Valeria is a junior at Antioch High School. At this time the US Teen National is on a hiatus period but Valeria says she wants to get a job so that she can go to the National pageant and support her new pageant sister.
Ana Maria and Valeria had no idea neither would be the new Queens. They had both competed in the 2013 pageants and made a deal with one another to come back together and work to win the 2014 pageants. Their hard work paid off. Shortly before Christmas of 2013 both girls were privately informed of the opportunity that would allow them the chance to represent the 2014 titles.
“We are excited for both of these girls,” said Elizabeth Adamski, Clarksville native and the pageants life coach. “We feel they will fulfill the standards set by the State and National competition and see to it their motto continue…More than a Model, a ROLE Model™ .”
The organization thanks Ibeth Moreno, Aaron Rocha, Carlos Oliva, Eugenia Avila, family, and friends for their continued support of the Miss Tn Latina Org.
